howard18 Posted July 8, 2015 Author #4 Share Posted July 8, 2015 Thanks for your quick response. Commenting on the cost of WiFi, what IS the cost of 14 days WiFi use? Bearing in mind that Explorer is now totally WiFi - does this cost more?
Clarea Posted July 8, 2015 #5 Share Posted July 8, 2015 I've not read any recent reports of internet prices on Explorer. The current rate for the older ships seems to be $20 per day for one device and $30 per day for two devices, when you buy for multiple days. They may have promo pricing when you get on board. howard18 Posted July 8, 2015 Author #10 Share Posted July 8, 2015 My error! "Buy one device and get the second one for 50% off! Surf, share, & stay connected with pervasive wifi! Email friends, check your stocks, surf the web and share pictures of your incredible cruise adventure! This package provides you unlimited internet access for 2 devices while onboard." RCCL disingenous as usual. Not £20 for the voyage but PER DAY. I never learn!

PaulS Posted July 8, 2015 #12 Share Posted July 8, 2015 We just returned from a 12 day cruise on the Explorer to the Canary Islands. The internet is only available in 24 hour blocks of time and is $ 39.99 per day if you purchase one 24 hour period at a time. If you purchase time for the entire voyage, it is $ 20.00 per day. I found the internet to be fine for retrieving emails but very slow for sending them or for anything else. In my opinion, they are charging an outrageous price for a poor product.
