watchdiva Posted July 10, 2015 #3 Share Posted July 10, 2015 If you are calling at Icy Straight Point that will be a tender port.

Budget Queen Posted July 10, 2015 #10 Share Posted July 10, 2015 You don't have any tender ports, but are at the AJ dock in Juneau, which is the least "desirable". ;) When you go up the ramp, bear left for the shuttle bus. (unless you are on a cruisetour?) Not where you get dropped off, by the Taku Smokery at the tram parking lot. These shuttle run the loop continuously. Some tours may pick up at the AJ dock, so follow their directions. In Skagway- NCL uses the Ore dock usually, sometimes Broadway. Both these docks are only 10/15 minute walk right into town. :) Ketchikan- last year had dock 3, better than dock 4. :) But is an uphill climb, especially at low tide. Pretty close to the city bus, if going to Totem Bight. Walk along the marine walk, if on your own going to town.
triptolemus Posted July 10, 2015 #11 Share Posted July 10, 2015 It is possible to tender in Juneau. Unlikely, but possible. If five ships show up at once in Juneau, one will tender. Again, it's rare, but has happened. Here is a shot of the Jewel tendering out in Gastineau Channel, Juneau. Look to the lower left of the photo and you'll see tender boats are deployed..
