Swimsuit on Norway cruise?

Recommended Posts

we will be on the Caribbean Princess late August on a cruise to Norway. Is it too cool to pack a swimsuit? We usually use the pool by the fitness center, but I am assuming that the air will be pretty cool.

Thanks for the info!

Oh, you brave soul:D:D The outside air temps will probably be in the high 40F..low 50F....

Thanks for the quick response. Maybe we will use the HOT tub!😉

Will probably leave the suit at home!

The hot tub sounds good:)

My Farenheits are not the best so when I checked C to F the temps would be ranging from low to high 50F.

Still, not very warm.

One of my favorite moments among my cruises in Norway was enjoying the sail out from Geiranger in a hot tub. We took plenty of photos on the sail in, and then spent the day hiking, so we enjoyed the hot tub up on deck during the sail out. Leaning back and looking up at the towering fjord walls was a dramatically different perspective! And while everyone else was shivering in coats and hats, we were warm and comfortable! In fact, a few people saw us and thought it was such a great idea that they went and put on their suits to join us!

On our last sea day on our August itinerary, (didnt notice when busy with port visits ) we had a wonderful WARM sunny day. Lots of people were sunbathing and a few were in the pool and hot tub. We wore shorts and sleeveless tops the whole day on deck. Swimsuits take no space in your luggage. Your choice.

In Bergen we were in short sleeves and under sunny skies. We really had wonderful weather. Blue skies in most ports. Wishing you the same!

Okay! Okay! You all convinced me! I will take it!😄

I will have mine packed for our cruise to Norway next month as well. One of my favorite things cruising Alaska is sitting in the hot tub at night, preferably with light mist coming down. It's wonderful!
