Once officially retired they are fine if the price is right. They are often less than the 3 day versions. Do you winter in FL now Edited July 26, 2015 by John&LaLa
westwood65 Posted July 26, 2015 #3 Share Posted July 26, 2015 4 days would not be enough for us, although we are doing a 5 day out of Vancouver next May. Being from Canada the airfare will not be as bad as flying down to Florida or San Juan. We have come to realize that if we are paying the airfare to go down to the states we are going to do B2B's from now on if we can afford it. It feels good to now that you are staying an extra week on the ship when come back into port.
cocacola86 Posted July 26, 2015 Author #4 Share Posted July 26, 2015 We couldn't afford a b2b and to take two weeks off
Langley Cruisers Posted July 26, 2015 #5 Share Posted July 26, 2015 Honestly, my thoughts are that it is in no way long enough for us, but every cruiser is different. If it's what you want, then you don't need our advice or approval. ;) Just do what you can afford.
cocacola86 Posted July 26, 2015 Author #6 Share Posted July 26, 2015 Oct we fly to San Juan, go to Aruba, Bonaire, Curaco, Antigua and St Maarten. Very port intensive.
westwood65 Posted July 26, 2015 #7 Share Posted July 26, 2015 We are doing a B2B in Feb/Mar of 2016 out of San Juan on the Adventure as well. We cannot wait. The islands the are visited are fantastic. It is very port intensive only one day at sea each week. That is ok though will not be planning anything to exhausting, hang out at the beaches and walking around the ports.

dacsmom Posted July 26, 2015 #9 Share Posted July 26, 2015 I have done a few short cruises and liked them. What about a four or five day on the Brilliance out of Tampa?

cocacola86 Posted July 26, 2015 Author #11 Share Posted July 26, 2015 If you had to pick for ship, port to sail out of would you choose Enchanment/Majesty?
Doug S Posted July 26, 2015 #12 Share Posted July 26, 2015 For us, the packing/unpacking/travel to cruise time ratio is not good for anything less than a 7 nighter. Not enough time to unwind before you have to throw everything back in your suitcases and go home.

Anita Latte Posted July 27, 2015 #16 Share Posted July 27, 2015 We're leaving for a 4-nighter in just over 2 months. Can't wait! Not sure how your vacation time would pan out...our sailing is Monday-Friday. It is Fall Break...we really couldn't do a longer cruise at this time of year. Because of the timing...we are going to treat home like a port and do something special on the weekend prior. Our homebound travel day is also being treated like a port. We have a day use room reserved at a nice airport hotel and will relax until our late evening flight. We're just treating the cruise as a part of a larger thought for vacation. I think you could do this same thing depending on when you were sailing. HOWEVER...I'm not sure that this same plan would work as well in April. You'll be dealing with Spring Break season and that could be ANYTHING but relaxing...and that was what you said you wanted. If relaxing was what I wanted the most...I'd be doing more research to find a more relaxing vacation than a short cruise in April.
Anita Latte Posted July 27, 2015 #17 Share Posted July 27, 2015 We have sailed a 5-night cruise on Celebrity for spring break. That didn't seem to be as crazy as some of the other reports I've heard of shorter Spring Break cruises.
luvscruising2007 Posted July 27, 2015 #18 Share Posted July 27, 2015 If 4 nights is all the time you have or is the only cruise you can afford, I say go for it. Only you can decide if it is worth for you .

We live in Ontario and want to go away in April for a couple of days and want a relaxing cheap vacation, what's your thoughts about doing a short cruise I don't mind 4 night cruises, but I only do them when they are Thursday to Monday itineraries. It lets me use less vacation time than the Monday to Friday ones. I have not been on Adventure, so I can't give any opinion on the ship. What's the alternative you're looking at with Carnival? cocacola86 Posted July 27, 2015 Author #20 Share Posted July 27, 2015 If we do a longer cruise, we tend to book a year in advance, with Carnival most of their short cruises are fantasy class ships, so it's good to know about the ship as well. Rare John&LaLa Posted July 27, 2015 #21 Share Posted July 27, 2015 Oct we fly to San Juan, go to Aruba, Bonaire, Curaco, Antigua and St Maarten. Very port intensive. I'm confused :what:, you are not describing a 4 day cruises.
cjdixon4 Posted July 27, 2015 #22 Share Posted July 27, 2015 Done the 4-nighter on Enchantment and Majesty and LOVED it. Would recommend it to anybody. If you can swing it timewise, go for it.
cjdixon4 Posted July 27, 2015 #23 Share Posted July 27, 2015 I'm confused :what:, you are not describing a 4 day cruises. That looks like the itinerary for their Adventure cruise, not their 4-day. You're right.

cocacola86 Posted July 27, 2015 Author #25 Share Posted July 27, 2015 If you had to pick between Enchanment or Majesty, Majesty is cheaper and goes to Key West, one thing I like about RC is that you can book and pay in CDN dollars
