louallard Posted July 31, 2015 #1 Share Posted July 31, 2015 Hello Everyone, My son is treating me to a cruise, therefore I am trying to keep the cost down. I have never sailed in an inside cabin and have heard that some are larger than others on the Getaway and perhaps the Escape. Does anyone have any insight on this? Will an inside be large enough to accommodate us? Thanks for any advice or tips you could share Lou
Travelbug69 Posted July 31, 2015 #2 Share Posted July 31, 2015 Are you traveling by yourself? If so, you should get a solo cabin. They do not charge you a double rate, plus it is in a separate section. The only people that have access are ones that are staying in the solo cabins. drvalo Posted July 31, 2015 #4 Share Posted July 31, 2015 Hello Everyone, My son is treating me to a cruise, therefore I am trying to keep the cost down. I have never sailed in an inside cabin and have heard that some are larger than others on the Getaway and perhaps the Escape. Does anyone have any insight on this? Will an inside be large enough to accommodate us? Thanks for any advice or tips you could share Lou I have not sailed on the Getaway and no one has sailed on the Escape, but I have sailed many times in an inside. There is certainly room for two and when the bed is separated into two singles the cabin feels even larger. There has always been plenty of storage space (suitcases under the bed) and, for the price, we have seldom been able to beat an inside. With the current promotions, they are even more attractive. Even when we have had a balcony or larger cabin, we don't spend that much time in it any way. Have a great cruise!!!! Plus the sleeping is great. Just bring some sort of clock you can see in the dark as you will never know what time it is. What a wonderful treat from your son.
CPT Trips Posted August 1, 2015 #5 Share Posted August 1, 2015 Insides on BA appear to be very small. We often do insides, but outside spaces on BA are frequently packed, so we do balconies when we travel that ship. Getaway is essentially a twin. Namelocg Posted August 1, 2015 #6 Share Posted August 1, 2015 I stayed in an inside last August with my adult daughter. There was plenty of room for the two of us, especially once the beds were separated..
