Hilton Riverside to Port via Riverwalk Mall?

I'm not positive on this, but from what I was told you cannot get to the Carnival terminal from the Riverwalk Mall, only the NCL one. And even then I'm not sure I would, its pretty far and wouldn't be easy to navigate the mall with luggage (lots of escalator/elevators). We stayed at the Hilton last year for our cruise and the distance from the parking garage to our room was almost a mile (according to my pedometer) and we had to use 4 elevators and cross a sky bridge, not fun with our luggage.

A cab will cost $7 per person, so you have to balance that against the walk.

As above poster said, Riverwalk is on three levels, so you will have to deal with elevators/escalators. At the end of Riverwalk is an elevator that will take you down to the Julia Street terminal (NCL). If you are on Carnival, you will have to take a walkway at the end of Riverwalk to some outdoor stairs that will take you down to the Erato Street terminal.

Total distance about 2 blocks to Julia and four to Erato.

If you have time, try a dry run.

It used to be possible, prior to them renovating the mall. There used to be a door right in front of the old food and drink museum that would put you out on a walkway. You had to follow that back through there and it would drop you at a stair case without elevators or escalators right beside the Carnival terminal.

I am unsure if this is still the case, but we used this once for a great place to watch sailaway when we were there on a long weekend.
