tallyho8 Posted August 8, 2015 #26 Share Posted August 8, 2015 Just remember, if you like a higher balcony so you can people watch, the people can watch you too. If you like your privacy, get a cove balcony. They are my favorites and they are usually cheaper too. If you like whale watching, they look like a sardine from the upper balconies but the coves give you a close up look.
krmckee Posted August 8, 2015 #27 Share Posted August 8, 2015 I think RB's post was 'tongue in cheek' about smoke from smokers drifting that far up, especially while the ship is in motion. :) OH YOU HAVE MEADE MY DAY! I totally believed what he said! HA HA!:):p

coevan Posted August 8, 2015 #30 Share Posted August 8, 2015 The Cloud 9 Spa deck should be quiet, we hope.
psimmons Posted August 19, 2015 #31 Share Posted August 19, 2015 Has anyone stayed in cabin 8462 on the Dream. Just booked that cabin for the extra long balcony. I have read where someone was very disappointed with a cabin shaped like mine. I would like to know more about it if possible. I have time to change cabins this far out. Our cruise date is April 9, 2017. I usually book midship and I have liked the cove balcony. I have stayed in the front of the ship before and it was a pretty rough ride. Thanks for any help. Gardeneroflove Posted August 19, 2015 #32 Share Posted August 19, 2015 We're thinking about booking a cruise on the Dream out of New Orleans. We're considering a balcony room on Deck 7 or 8 in the middle of the ship. Looking for opinions on which would be better - a room near the elevators for convenience, or a room further down the hall for less foot traffic. Thanks! we like the back for less traffic. It's typically where we stay on any ship. But when we sail plays a part. We had a room by the elvevtors duing our thanksgiving cruise on carnival.... never again. plus, we need the extra walking, and only take stairs!
