There are a lot of unknowns on the list. Can anyone find out:

Mariner: Who has taken over for Jamie, who left earlier than expected?

Fang Lixin will be arriving on Mariner 11/3 to replace Jamie, based on what I have seen on FB. Not sure if Fang was supposed to be Jamie's vacation coverage and just arriving a little early. But that is who will be on in a few days.

Will Steve Davis return to the Vision in November or December??

No,

He should be going on break after Radiance in December. He went straight over to Radiance in September from Brilliance where he spent over a month so he will be due a 2 month break over the Holidays after a 4 month contract.

My guess with Lixin Fang is that they were to be replacing Bonnie Guan (the activities manager who was leaving the boat after our cruise concluding 10/29/15), but that's purely a guess. Only time we saw Jamie Fentiman was on the in-room TVs from his cabin bed wishing us a good cruise because he had hurt his back.

I really liked Dru as a CD. He's not as dynamic as Richard or Leigh, that's true. But, he is not a "dud" and not "annoying/irritating" like many of the others.

We thoroughly enjoyed his low-key demeanor, his intelligent humor, his Seinfeld and Friends trivia (and impersonations from those shows). He was an excellent host at Love and Marriage, and at the other main shows. And, his activities team were fun and effective at trivia and other events.

I would be happy to cruise with him as CD again!

BTW: I agree that his morning show was kind of dry. It gave the impression that he and the activities manager didn't get along with each other, but I am sure that their interaction was part of their "schtick" and meant to be funny. I find it more entertaining when the CD and the AM seem to bounce ideas and dialogue off eachother in a more positive way.

At least now we know who is taking over on Grandeur. I cruised with Paul back in 2001, on Enchantment. All I seem to remember is the bit he did with his name...Rudder, rudder, rudder. Anyone been with him recently?

It's Rutter (not Rudder)

Re Paul Rutter...We did a Halloween cruise on Enchantment in 2012, Paul Rutter was CD. We really liked him, very personable. He was not one to hide away, but was very visible around the ship. He is tall and thin - looked great in his white polyester suit on 70's/Disco night.

Can anyone tell me anything about the new AOS CD? Mercedes Lafuente? It appears she/he will only be onboard a short time and they are new to the ship. We board in two weeks so looking for some feedback. TIA!
Mercedes isn't new to AD. She's been doing fill-in contracts on that ship for a long time. She often works on ships in Spanish language homeports. I have never sailed with her, so I don't have an opinion, but I wanted you to know that she is very experienced.

After hearing a lot of negatives about her, I wasn't expecting a lot but was pleasantly surprised on our cruise on AOS in March. She handled her responsibilities well and was visable. She wasn't the best but she was far from the worst.

We cruised with him in February 2014. We really enjoyed him. Still has the same 70's outfit.
