I was on the Explorer last weeks and on the morning show Tim Connor (but I wasn't paying full attention) mentioned he will be departing in 13 days which makes it the end of the current sailing and having a 3 month break as his wife is expecting.

 

Update: Tim and Tam Connor have a new a baby boy named Theo. Congratulations!!!

We have been on 11 cruises so far and have only had 1 cruise director that we didn't care for--Ken Rush. Just didn't think he had much personality and everything he did and said seemed to be rehearsed, not even a little spontaneous. Hope I didn't offend anyone who likes Ken, that was not my intention. My favorite CD's were Graham Seymour and Richard Spacey. Had Graham 3 times

Is he filling in on any ships over the holiday season or taking an extended break between two long contract? (6 months).

September - March would be an unusually long break. My guess is that he will do a 6-8 week fill-in on another ship to cover someone's break. Or, he may be reporting early to the shipyard or at corporate headquarters to prepare for taking out Ovation.

Missed Joff Eaton on the Indy, and family give him rave reviews. I've just booked on the Ovation, so now I am happy! :D
