I'm not a frequent cruiser, so not sure about the accuracy of info from web_reservations@rccl.com, but just received an email from them today saying Casey Pelter will be the CD on the March 4th Freedom sailing.

Yes, web_reservations is notorious for given out incorrect CD information. Casey left for his break over the weekend, and he is not returning to Freedom after his break (because a CD can only be assigned to the same ship for 3 years, so he will be reassigned).

 

Michele Scarpato joined Freedom this weekend and will be on for 2 months, so he will be your CD.

Or, he could stay on until after the TA and begin the European season, and then maybe Jerome could take over, as Clo's schedule on BR doesn't fit with his vacation schedule.

No - it's Michele Scarpato, from Italy.

He was AM on the Oasis Class in Europe and was then CD on Enchantment for a couple of contracts, and now over to Freedom.

Had him on Allure, he seemed good, but didn't see much of him with the big ship.

Michelle Pimentinha Oliveira is from Brazil. She has been on break for about 3 months (last on Rhapsody), but attended the CD conference, so is likely taking an extended vacation.

John Perry has left Royal and is now Operations Manager at Hyatt Hotels (per LinkedIn)

Ken Rush works at corporate in Miami as RCI's Director of Entertainment. He may occasionally fill-in as CD

Rich Edwards is temporarily out due to back issues

Amy Fickert-Southgate has taken a job shoreside as of June 8

Luke Aerowsmith is working at the corporate office in London

Gordon Whatman is retired, but will be filling-in from time-to-time if needed

Allan Brooks works for Celebrity in their corporate office.

Richard Spacey is a CD with Celebrity

Becky Thompson works for Celebrity Cruises in their corporate offices in Miami.

James Andrews is a real estate agent in Sydney

Can anyone find out about the CD situation on Empress and on Grandeur? Handovers are scheduled on both ships for either last weekend or this one.

SPECULATION:

Could Michele be on Freedom for a short contract to prepare for Europe and then return in May/June for the Summer in Barcelona? He's Italian and was AM on Oasis in Fall 2014, Allure for Summer 2015 and also started Harmony's run in Barcelona.

Or, he could stay on until after the TA and begin the European season, and then maybe Jerome could take over, as Clo's schedule on BR doesn't fit with his vacation schedule.

 

 

I sure hope Scarpato stays on Freedom for the April 23 Transatlantic sailing. We had him on Harmony and he was great. Hope we don't miss him.
