sunshine002 Posted August 16, 2015 #2 Share Posted August 16, 2015 Its hard to say, today and the next few days it will be in the low 90's. You could wear jeans and then change if its a nice day.
7upp Posted August 16, 2015 #3 Share Posted August 16, 2015 I recommend you wear clothes on 8/29. [emoji1]
HawksFan74 Posted August 16, 2015 #4 Share Posted August 16, 2015 According to accu weather, the average high in NY on 8/29 is 81. Personally, I wouldn't be wearing jeans unless it's below 65. But I'm from Seattle, so ymmv. Sent from my SPH-L720T using Tapatalk

kingston13 Posted August 16, 2015 #7 Share Posted August 16, 2015 That is only in 2 weeks and it is 96 today so summer clothes
Rare Got2Cruise Posted August 16, 2015 #8 Share Posted August 16, 2015 It's summer= shorts. Jeans are always fine in NYC. Tourists will wear shorts, but in Manhattan which is the business capital of the world men still wear suits even if it's 95 degrees out.

It might rain. I'd go with a two-piece yellow rain suit. http://www.harborfreight.com/2-piece-yellow-rain-suit-large-94874.html

DH wears a suit to work year round, but shorts when home in the summer. It's a vacation!
Rare mking8288 Posted August 16, 2015 #11 Share Posted August 16, 2015 (edited) Now, that's a serious first world problem for hard-core CC to help out ... OP, will be you arriving by stretch limo to impress (nobody care or notice it, not those inside the pier doing the check in ... are you checking into Haven ? Which ship - the Z gangway path can be long & the incline can be a challenge for those with high heels :D Slacks are qually acceptable compared to Bermuda shorts ... insect repellent is optional due to the possible West Niles  For sun protection, straw hat for shades & to stay cool - outdoors, that is. bwaz Posted August 16, 2015 #12 Share Posted August 16, 2015 If that's your embarkation day, don't worry. You will see everything. People may have been driving to the port for 5+ hours, others living out of carryons. You will be fine in most anything you're comfortable in. George C Posted August 16, 2015 #14 Share Posted August 16, 2015 I would go with shorts, you may be standing outside for 30 mins for lifeboat drill also comfortable shoes, I then always change to better clothes before dinner

It's definitely still very warm end of August in NYC. It may be breezy at sail away, but I'd say a warm breeze, not chilly at all.

Brighton Line Posted August 17, 2015 #18 Share Posted August 17, 2015 Not only is it warm now but September is predicted to be higher then normal this year. The current 10 day forecast has the 26th high at 84. NYC high is usually 2p to 4p in August. Depending on cloud cover and how much cooling at night the city gets also effects how hot it is the next day. Further out 29th is predicted high 87 low 70 Sunny 20% chance of rain.
