Pierlesscruisers Posted September 17, 2015 #56 Share Posted September 17, 2015 Hello everyone,I found myself with a vacation day to use in September so I booked my wife Marie and I on the one day Ruby Princess cruise from our home in Seattle up to Vancouver BC. Up to this point we have cruised exclusively on Royal Caribbean so I am hoping for some quick tips and advice. :) We signed up for anytime dining but I think we would prefer speciality dining (we have to wait till we board to book so it may be a madhouse). Any suggestion on which one and favorite dishes? How long does dining usually take in the various restaurants? We want to go to the show that evening, do you think they have more than one show on a 1 day cruise, if so what time? We want to be sure not to have our dining reservation conflict. I hear the casino will probably be closed, other suggestions for entertainment. :D Thank you to all the Princess veterans, any advice will be appreciated. The casino, if the Ruby does it this week the same way that the Crown did last week, will be open from about 8PM till 1AM. The comedian, who was really good I thought, did 3 shows. One was at 7pm if I remember correctly, one at 9pm and a different show at 11pm. Tom
Mare10 Posted September 17, 2015 #57 Share Posted September 17, 2015 I'm so glad you posted this information! My friend and I have booked the same 1 day cruise on the Ruby next spring. We're taking the cruise from Vancouver to Seattle after a Pacific Coastal. We thought it would be a fun way to get back to Seattle for our flight! Sounds like fun and your thread gave me some good information!
