cheryl8503 Posted September 1, 2015 #1 Share Posted September 1, 2015 Can we use our Nexus cards to get through security at FLL? Will be returning from Eastern Carib on IOS in October.
gordbot Posted September 1, 2015 #2 Share Posted September 1, 2015 Short answer: yes. If you check-in using NEXUS as your identification, you should be issued boarding passes with TSA Pre-Check which should allow you to bypass some of the requirements (no need to remove belt or shoes or light jacket, etc). Generally this line is also shorter and moves very quickly.
willing292 Posted September 1, 2015 #3 Share Posted September 1, 2015 (edited) If you are enrolled in P recheck, it works at almost all of the USA airports. If it's an older NEXUS, and you have not made updated it to include pre check, then no. Edited September 1, 2015 by willing292
ltjn Posted September 1, 2015 #4 Share Posted September 1, 2015 Make sure you have supplied the airline with your "Trusted Traveler" number from your NEXUS Card to be considered for TSA Per Check.

Thanks for the info! I've had Nexus for 6 years and didn't know to do that! I went onto SW site tonight and inserted all of our Trusted Traveler Numbers! imluvncruzn Posted September 14, 2015 #8 Share Posted September 14, 2015 Update: It is not enough to add your Known Traveler Number to your airline profile. If you have pre-existing reservations you must call and have them add the number to each of those reservations. Going forward the number will be included on future reservations. At least this is how I had to do it with Southwest Airlines.
