smoking??

we cruised with star clipper 4 years ago and enjoyed the cruise except for the evenings. most of the activity was out at the bar area but our cruise consisted of more smokers than non-smokers. consequently, you were forced to breathe in smoke all evening. is this the norm or did we just happen to have a heavy smoker ratio week. your input would be appreciated. if this hasn't changed, we will probably opt for windstar instead.

We have been on several Clipper holidays (on all three ships) and I would say that your experience was very unusual. In our experience smokers have been very much in the minority and have adhered to remaining in the section of the Tropical Bar identified for smokers.

thanks for the response. we just booked the treasure islands cruise on star clipper for 2/20-27. looking forward to it. great deal with good pricing including 2 free nights pre-cruise and breakfast and transfers.

We've done 2 European itineraries and both were filled with smokers. If that's a serious issue for you, I would suggest picking a non-smoking line rather than leaving it to chance.

Very few smokers on our Royal Clipper cruise last year. We will be on Star Flyer in a couple of weeks.

Also Tropical Bar is not really enclosed so we didnt notice any smoke in the evenings.
