debbiet70611 Posted September 4, 2015 #51 Share Posted September 4, 2015 I am in my early sixties and I really enjoy the towel animal and take a picture of them every night. I also keep them till the end of the week.
DebJ14 Posted September 4, 2015 #52 Share Posted September 4, 2015 I Love them! I collect them for the whole cruise and take a photo of my "family" everytime. We do too!
bingo3 Posted September 4, 2015 #53 Share Posted September 4, 2015 Not everyone likes everything, that is why we have variety, thank goodness! What a boring world it would be otherwise. I am sure there is something you like about the cruise someone else doesn't. :)
swscruiser Posted September 4, 2015 #54 Share Posted September 4, 2015 They're cute but who cares. If you are not traveling with kids then have the critters walk the plank.
Towel Critter Posted September 5, 2015 #55 Share Posted September 5, 2015 (edited) ...have the critters walk the plank. There you go with violence again. Will my people and I ( see user name) ever be safe from the likes of you?;) Edited September 5, 2015 by Towel Critter
ohioblue52 Posted September 5, 2015 #56 Share Posted September 5, 2015 Me either. Maybe if we had kids with us. But I just don't get the big attraction. Sure they will be done away with before long. Hard to see the towel animals still around when free drinks have been replaced with water, and all the other past guest perks being downgraded. SMSACE6 Posted September 5, 2015 #57 Share Posted September 5, 2015 We all have our favorite cruise traditions, and our not so favorites. For me, I tolerate the dancing and napkin waving in the dining room on occasion, that I dont get out in time, but I can do without it. I understand that many, both new and seasoned cruisers love this tradition, so that is fine, I accept it, but I don't partake in the festivities. I do love the towel animals though. I love returning to my room in the evening and finding one there, figuring out sometimes what it actually is, and I never tamper with them. I actually hoard them through the cruise, save them on a window ledge, or a sofa. Get sad when they disappear on the last night of the cruise:( We are all different, like some things, dont like others and makes no difference how long we have been cruising. I am already missing many things that made cruising special to me, so if the towel animals disappeared, that is one more nail in the casket.
