USA41018 Posted September 16, 2015 #1 Share Posted September 16, 2015 Quick question. Leaving tomorrow for NOLA, cruising Sunday on Dream. How much is the bike pulled buggy on the pier in Cozumel. Recently had surgery and am considering riding this instead of walking the pier. Thanks so much for your help.
Kcruiser2014 Posted September 16, 2015 #2 Share Posted September 16, 2015 (edited) When we went last week, it was tip only. I heard others state they tipped $5. Not sure what my mom tipped. She had back surgery recently and it really helped her not to have to walk so far. Edited September 16, 2015 by Kcruiser2014
okgirl Posted September 16, 2015 #3 Share Posted September 16, 2015 It is tip only, I rarely use it but my sister does and she tips $5.
SadieN Posted September 16, 2015 #4 Share Posted September 16, 2015 FWIW they're called pedi-cabs.
Schoifmom Posted September 16, 2015 #5 Share Posted September 16, 2015 When I was there I asked "how much" and they said $5. The driver was extremely nice and we tipped him a couple of bucks extra. He was there again when we came back, recognized us and made sure he was the one to take us back. Will do so again!!
AHS123 Posted September 16, 2015 #6 Share Posted September 16, 2015 FWIW they're called pedi-cabs. Yes, and the guy getting you where you want to go is called the mani-pedi.
sailor_jimc Posted September 16, 2015 #7 Share Posted September 16, 2015 I can also say it is tip only but $5 seems to be the going tip rate. My buddy used one since he has a bad back and didn't want to walk the distance...

Ralphinsc Posted September 23, 2015 #10 Share Posted September 23, 2015 I call them "Drunk Bicycles" for use when I have OVER HYDRATED IN COZ. And that's how we used them as well. We got two for our group and they "raced" down the pier :p (probably just pedaled normally but in tandem to entertain. It made for a fun trip and our mani-pedis were tipped extra.)
