unqimg Posted September 17, 2015 #1 Share Posted September 17, 2015 Anyone know if NCL will have American TG Dinner on Thanksgiving? Thanks, Mark
Sauer-kraut Posted September 17, 2015 #2 Share Posted September 17, 2015 Hmm...it might be if the roast turkey is on the menu rotation for that day. A ship filled with 70% Europeans who have no clue when our Thanksgiving Day is...I wouldn't hold my breath.
kirsty_r Posted September 18, 2015 #3 Share Posted September 18, 2015 I imagine they might. True the Europeans won't know, but NCL does. :) It might not be a huge deal though - maybe a dish in the MDR, or buffet, or at o'sheehans special.

I think you might find that quite a lot of us Europeans are well aware when Thanksgiving Day is! :)
j-9 Posted September 18, 2015 #5 Share Posted September 18, 2015 We did the Canary Islands over American Thanksgiving last year. As A Canadian I was not particularly looking for a turkey dinner or special festivities on that day but was aware of the date. As another poster said, there may have been a turkey main course, but there wasn't a "thanksgiving dinner" offering with all the trimmings. jlajr Posted September 19, 2015 #6 Share Posted September 19, 2015 (edited) We did the Canary Islands over American Thanksgiving last year. I was on the Spirit for a Canary Islands itinerary over Thanksgiving the previous year (2013). In the Windows main dining room, they had a more or less traditional Thanksgiving meal on the menu: turkey, cranberry sauce, stuffing, and sweet potato fries. It was really good. mypleasure Posted September 19, 2015 #7 Share Posted September 19, 2015 They had a meal like the one outlined by Jlajr on the Jade last November when we were on a cruise that covered that day.
LrgPizza Posted September 19, 2015 #8 Share Posted September 19, 2015 Do they also offer a traditional Thanksgiving dinner for Canada's Thanksgiving Day, or are Americans from USA the only ones who expect this?
