cannockfrodo Posted September 19, 2015 #1 Share Posted September 19, 2015 We have a day in Dubai after our cruise in January. We would like to go up the Burj Khalifa at least. Can anyone recommend a guide or the best way to do this from the cruise terminal ? Thanks
1982CruzStart Posted September 19, 2015 #2 Share Posted September 19, 2015 6 of us took a tour of Dubai with Dubai Private Tours (http://www.dubaiprivatetours.com) last November. We were staying at a hotel for one night before our cruise but i think they could accommodate your situation. They did a good job, the guide was knowledgeable and easy to understand and the vehicle comfortable. Enjoy your day there.
chrispb Posted September 19, 2015 #3 Share Posted September 19, 2015 There's a ho-ho bus which picks up at the cruise terminal. There are 2 routes one of which goes to the Burj Khalifa.
go fish 44 Posted September 19, 2015 #4 Share Posted September 19, 2015 It is best to buy your ticket 30 days in advance to go up the tower. Just go to their web site.
cannockfrodo Posted September 20, 2015 Author #5 Share Posted September 20, 2015 Thanks for the tips. We do have a ho-ho bus included in our 3 night stay at The Palm so maybe we will have time to do the Burj before the cruise instead. Would you recommend the day or the night to visit ? cannockfrodo Posted September 21, 2015 Author #6 Share Posted September 21, 2015 It is best to buy your ticket 30 days in advance to go up the tower. Just go to their web site. I know that's best but is it compulsory ? The OH isn't convinced and is a bit worried about advance booking as we're not not 100% sure how we will be feeling re jet lag. chrispb Posted September 21, 2015 #7 Share Posted September 21, 2015 No, not compulsory but you may have to queue a while. Day or night is entirely up to you. Personally, I'd prefer the day as you can get a better perspective rather than just seeing lights. The ho-ho also picks up at the palm but can't remember if it's the same route as the Burj, sorry. Thanks Not sure if you really meant to post this on the Asia board but I would repost this on the Middle East/Africa Ports Of Call Board.
