Cheshiregal Posted October 14, 2015 #1 Share Posted October 14, 2015 We are planning a Med cruise on Celebrity for next June 2016 but my DH has now realised that the cruise dates clash with Euro 16. Do celebrity show live tv anywhere onboard?

Do celebrity show live tv anywhere onboard? You might want to ask this on the Celebrity forum since each cruise line is different.
kitty9 Posted October 14, 2015 #3 Share Posted October 14, 2015 (edited) There is live TV on board Celebrity ships but whether or not they show that particular sporting event can't be known now. The live shows they have are mostly news shows, and they may have some sort of the sport show ESPN or Sky Sports, but I don't think they know now if they will show Euro 16. They may be able to show it on the TV in the Casino bar, but Celebrity does not have any kind of network programming like BBC or ITV. Rare Keith1010 Posted October 14, 2015 #4 Share Posted October 14, 2015 I agree with kitty9. You just won't know in advance. Keith
spookwife Posted October 14, 2015 #5 Share Posted October 14, 2015 you will not know until the day of the event whether or not it will be broadcast. and even then if the satellite goes wonky, you are SOL.
sail7seas Posted October 14, 2015 #6 Share Posted October 14, 2015 I'm guessing this is soccer and if so, it is possible Celebrity will have ESPN live TV and if so, they probably will show soccer. HAL has ESPN on all ships and they air soccer sometimes. Of course, all TV viewing depends upon location of the ship and ability to download the signal from the satellite. Do celebrity show live tv anywhere onboard? Almost certainly not in your cabin. That tends to be stuff like CNN, mebbe BBC 24 if you're lucky - or Fox News if you're not :D But being a Med cruise, the prospects of the Euros being shown in a bar are high. :) Subject, as other posts, to the ship receiving a decent signal. cb at sea Posted October 14, 2015 #9 Share Posted October 14, 2015 Always record any show you MUST see....there's never a guarantee the ship will show it...although they are BIG on soccer....
Sea Hag Posted October 14, 2015 #10 Share Posted October 14, 2015 Can you find out if it's going to be shown online somewhere or another? It would cost internet minutes, but it might be the best/only option if it's available online.
