Tendering on Epic-class ships: how long does it take to get to Nice shore?

Hello,

For those who have been on an Epic-class ship that has called into Nice, France, do you recall how long it takes to get from the ship to the wharf in Nice?

I am trying to figure out how early one has to get to the tender station on the ship to meet a tour guide for an excursion that starts at 8:30 a.m.

Thanks in advance.

Do you mean Cannes?

If so then the journey itself is pretty quick.

For tenders before a certain time in the morning, you need to reserve your place. They start giving them out a few days earlier, so keep an eye out for that. Details are in the freestyle daily.

To Cannes (not Nice) it took about an hour - but that's because our tender broke down and we had to slowly get back and get on another one which they then waited to fill up  The actual journey was maybe 10-15 minutes to leaving and getting off.

On the way back all tenders were stopped due to high winds so it took 2 hours

Don't worry, I don't think it's normally like that, but have to admit it did put me off tenders a bit :D

Yes, I meant Cannes, my mistake:o

Thanks for the responses and reading my mind.

If one needed to get to shore at 8:30 a.m., which time/slot should be reserved and is there an issue in getting the early preferred time/slot?

Don't want to be the last ones to join the group.:o
