iflyrc5 Posted October 26, 2015 #1 Posted October 26, 2015 Windows 10 came out the end of July. When we were on the Voyage of the Vikings on the Veendam in July/Aug they were still teaching Windows 8 classes with one preview class on Windows 10. I was wondering if those that have been on board any of the ships more recently would let us know if they are now teaching Windows 10 classes. I have upgraded to Win 10 and was hoping to get some ideas and tricks and more info on using Win 10 when we are on the Oosterdam in Jan/feb.
Rare 3rdGenCunarder Posted October 26, 2015 #2 Posted October 26, 2015 Veendam was still on 8 in September, but posters on other ships have reported that the computers had been upgraded to 10. I think it's gradually rolling out ship by ship. Even if the computers on Oosterdam haven't been upgraded by then, there may be more demonstration type classes on 10. On our cruise, the techspert had 10 on his laptop and used that to show how some things were done.

We will be on the Oosterdam on Nov 16 and I will make it a point to ask the Techspert so that I can answer your questions. I will be doing a "Live From" and accepting questions to address to the crew while I am on board. In addition, will be gathering all of the menus.

Also interested in knowing how many Gala nights to plan for as we are boarding Jan 18 and will be on board until Feb 29. Much better than spending that time in the cold of Indiana.
