BamaLady#13 Posted November 17, 2015 #1 Share Posted November 17, 2015 Just a few days ago, we returned from a wonderful cruuse aboard the Sunshine. As usual, they put a copy of my sail and sign account under our cabin door during our last night aboard. Everything was as it should have been, no surprise charges, so I folded up the print-out and put it in my purse. Today, I went on line to check my credit card charges and discovered that I had been charged an additional $70. I called Carnival Customer Service and was told I had been charged for a robe and towels. I didn't even use the robe and beach towels, much less take them home. They quickly agreed to refund the $70. Just a heads-up.
firemanbobswife Posted November 17, 2015 #2 Share Posted November 17, 2015 That's crazy! One of the reasons why I only do a cash account. No erroneous charges, and I use my 10% off gift cards to pay for the cruise and everything onboard.
cb at sea Posted November 17, 2015 #3 Share Posted November 17, 2015 Yes..it's a hassle to have to call, but they WILL remove those kinds of charges. I think they do it, hoping folks won't take the time to call! I've had stuff like that happen in hotels, too....the charge is ALWAYS reversed. k2excursion Posted November 18, 2015 #4 Share Posted November 18, 2015 That happened to me on my 3rd cruise. An extra $20 or so was charged after the cruise. I called, and they said it was the in-room beverages, which I did not open or take, so they reversed it.
