Langoustine Posted December 7, 2015 #3 Share Posted December 7, 2015 (edited) The trip can be done by train, but you will have to change trains at least twice. See https://www.nsinternational.nl/en for details. Edited December 7, 2015 by Langoustine
Kryssa Posted December 7, 2015 #4 Share Posted December 7, 2015 Looking for means of transportation from Amsterdam to Copenhagen without flying. We looked into this for our Baltic trip earlier this year and we couldn't make the trains make sense. We generally like trains, but with the AMS-CPH route being like 1 hr 30 min and $100, we chose to fly.
LocoLoco1 Posted December 9, 2015 #5 Share Posted December 9, 2015 Looking for means of transportation from Amsterdam to Copenhagen without flying. If its account morbid fear of flying...then Trains (plural) is doable, Overnight w/sleeper,but over 12/hrs. Also, Motorcoach Bus and Ferry Combo or a Rent-a-Car for you?? We investigated all options in 2013 while backpacking and went RyanAir I believe. $Cheap$. Locomotiveman Tom
MeiFong Posted December 9, 2015 #6 Share Posted December 9, 2015 The overnight train directly from Amsterdam to Copenhagen has been cancelled in 2014. The only way to travel by train now is to change at least twice and sometimes even 5 times. The trip will take more than 11 hours. It is easier to check the German train site than the Dutch train site: http://www.deutschebahn.com/en/start-en.html You will only be able to book tickets 3 months or less in advance but on the German site you can at least look at train times further ahead than those 3 months. Ine Posted December 10, 2015 #7 Share Posted December 10, 2015 Have a look at this website re busservice Amsterdam to Copenhagen. Certainly not the most comfortable way to travel and it takes a long time. https://www.eurolines.dk/en/busticket/bus/Amsterdam/Copenhagen
