woodman Posted October 3, 2005 #1 Share Posted October 3, 2005 On the deck plan of the Lido deck on the Miracle there are 2 icecream palors show. Are thses the soft serve icecream machines or is regular icecream served at these locations? Do you have to pay for the icecream? Thanks
bryn Posted October 3, 2005 #2 Share Posted October 3, 2005 They are ice cream machines. And they are free.:p
gtalum Posted October 3, 2005 #3 Share Posted October 3, 2005 They are soft-serve ice cream. As noted they are free. They'll have sundae toppings out for a few hours on the two sea days.

gtalum Posted October 3, 2005 #6 Share Posted October 3, 2005 Hmmmm I love icecream. Do they let you know when they have the toppings out? ;) It will be in the Capers. On the Miracle they had toppings out between 3 and 5 pm on sea days.
MSSQRL Posted October 4, 2005 #7 Share Posted October 4, 2005 They are heavenly soft serve. The good creamy kind. Not the kind that tastes like ice milk. The only down side is the cones never taste very fresh. I think it's because they are out in the heat and humidity. But, if you like your ice cream in a dish, you're in for a real treat. Yummmmmmm!!!!
dylanjames Posted October 4, 2005 #8 Share Posted October 4, 2005 Hmmmm I love icecream. Do they let you know when they have the toppings out? ;) They don't announce it but it was around 2 or 3:00 when they put them out.
gtalum Posted October 4, 2005 #9 Share Posted October 4, 2005 They don't announce it but it was around 2 or 3:00 when they put them out. On my cruise last week they put it in the Capers.
Rare Tom-n-Cheryl Posted October 4, 2005 #10 Share Posted October 4, 2005 It will be in the Capers. On the Miracle they had toppings out between 3 and 5 pm on sea days. That is one of the highlights (IMHO) of a spirit class ship... 3pm SEA DAYS = TOPPING TIME... This is also, once again IMHO, one of the ONLY drawbacks (forget late excursions as such) for having early seating dinner... after 1 (more typically TWO) bowls full of ice cream/fudge/oreos/M&M's, etc.... it can impact your ability to properly ;) gorge at dinner. Unfortunately, the first sea day is also the 1st FORMAL night (thus prime rib and lobster are the expected fare...):D Tom
just4kixx Posted October 4, 2005 #11 Share Posted October 4, 2005 Oh MAN... you mean I gotta CHOOSE????? One good thing (having formal night the first full day into the cruise IMHO) is you gotta wear 1 of those formal outfits before you've had a chance to actually expand the waistline from all that gorging :D A~:)

AppleValleyCruisers Posted October 4, 2005 #13 Share Posted October 4, 2005 A hint: One's near the near the bar, aft on the lido. Grab a dish, order a Bailey's or a Di Sorona, dump it in and you have one fine dish o' ice cream;)
