We're off on our first cruise in two weeks and I've been showing my partner the pictures to get him excited! He keeps saying 'I'm gonna order that!' 'Oh man I gotta eat that!' loupana Posted December 19, 2015 Author #178 Share Posted December 19, 2015 (edited) Did you do the Baths on your own? Is that the Speedy boat in your pic? We are thinking of doing this on our own in March. How long were you in port? Was it tight getting back to the ship for sail away? How much was the round trip boat & taxi transport? Sorry for so many questions just not sure whether to take ship excursion or on our own, have read conflicting reviews. We were in port from 7AM till 2:30PM. We purchased the excursion on Escape it was $72. Excursion was ok, I think it would be risky doing it on your own just because the ship isn't in port too long. Yes it is the Speedy boat. We had about 3 hours at the Baths and just got back in time, we boarded at 2:30. Edited December 19, 2015 by LouTheGlue

loupana Posted December 19, 2015 Author #181 Share Posted December 19, 2015 Woke up in Great Stirrup Cay with off and on rain and overcast sky's most of the day. Friends rented snorkel gear for the day we went on the Waverunner excursion did some swimming and relaxed on the beach. The sky's really opened up and it just poured rain at the end of the day with everyone trying to get back to the ship.

loupana Posted December 20, 2015 Author #185 Share Posted December 20, 2015 Spent some time at Guest Services before dinner. Our friends purchased onboard credit because we got a great rate on the CDN dollar. She purchased $500 and pre paid the gratuities before the cruise. They had no record of it and she really had to fight to get them to check with head office. Why call your customer a liar, the first thing they should do or say is we'll check with head office in Miami. After about 1 hour of back and forth from cabin to guest services for documents and proof someone finally got info from head office that the account info was not transferred to the ship and it should be all settled by tomorrow. Their account was settled the next day as promised, but what an ordeal. I made sure I had a copy of my Amenity report since I had heard of others having an issue but we didn't have any problems with our account. Dinner tonight was in the Tropicana Room FYI, my pot roast looked and tasted like leather, everyone else really enjoyed their meal
