flourpot Posted December 27, 2015 #1 Share Posted December 27, 2015 I'm currently sitting in the Piazza of the Grand with my soy hot chocolate and was reading the coffee menu. It has changed and is new (at least since I last cruised in March) and I thought I'd post it here. There are new options for us non coffee drinkers such as chai tea and cold tea fusions. I really like the cranberry pomegranate tea. Here's a picture of the new menu. :-) :-) Bonnie
skynight Posted December 27, 2015 #2 Share Posted December 27, 2015 I noticed that the Coffee Card is listed for $29 + 15% = $33.35. On the web site the pre-cruise price is shown as $35.65 including the 15%.

Not sure if prices also increased like they did for the coffee card but nice to see some new options. :)
Colo Cruiser Posted December 28, 2015 #4 Share Posted December 28, 2015 Yes its excellent. Someone also just posted it on the Beverage Eval thread as well. Yum, I drank a few of those Green Leaf Apple Orchard teas. :)

trystran72 Posted December 28, 2015 #6 Share Posted December 28, 2015 That Silk Road Chai Tea done as ice blended is GOOD!! Loved having so many options. The Mighty Leaf chocolate orange truffle tea they serve in a little tea pot was excellent. :)
Astro Flyer Posted December 28, 2015 #7 Share Posted December 28, 2015 Can you use the Coffee Card for any of the drinks on the menu?? The coffee card & menu are both "Café Selects" & should be valid for any item just like previously.

gemz Posted December 28, 2015 #9 Share Posted December 28, 2015 I guess I'm another one that's confused about the coffee card price because your picture shows $29 and on the Princess website it's $42 and I believe that includes the gratuities but it still doesn't work out to be $42. Just came off of the Crown this morning. I paid $33.35 onboard but I also purchased the coffee card while out at sea. Not sure if they add on sales tax on top of the 15% while in port or online. That could be where the difference is. Btw my fav was the Banoffee Blast frozen drink ;) Edited December 28, 2015 by 737binhog
Mindy97 Posted December 28, 2015 #12 Share Posted December 28, 2015 The Tea Infusions are all one punch on a coffee card. Or once in a while, not. Anyway, my sister loves the Minty Apple, and I like the Citrus Fruit Spiced Tea, which also has peach in it. Both are really tasty. Its not all that new, though, we've had these for at least a year, maybe more. M.

Astro Flyer Posted December 28, 2015 #15 Share Posted December 28, 2015 Thats 2 price increases in 6 months. :( Plus the balcony breakfast increasing from $32 to $45 and "testing" requiring prepayment for shore excursions on the Grand this summer in Alaska. All while profits dramatically increase due to lower fuel cost & higher cruise fares. Guess they're trying to price out many of their loyal customers.

vickie_bernie Posted December 28, 2015 #17 Share Posted December 28, 2015 the $42 is probably in Canadian We used our card to get many of the infused blended teas while on board. Loved the cranberry pomegranate yummy. Oh and it taste even better with one of the vodkas from the mini bar - just saying
Astro Flyer Posted December 28, 2015 #18 Share Posted December 28, 2015 the $42 is probably in Canadian That's probably the reason why but then Canadians are paying $6 more than Australians. Currently AUD & CAD exchange rates to the USD are within a penny of each other and it's $36 AUD and $42 CAD.
Knickearth Posted December 28, 2015 #19 Share Posted December 28, 2015 At present there is a newer menu. One of the waitresses informed us that in January, there will be employees coming to take the orders and a second person bringing the orders. Seems they are changing things up. Don't know what else they will be changing. I just always have a sense things will cost us more for no real reason.
KiwiFunCruiser Posted December 28, 2015 #20 Share Posted December 28, 2015 We paid $40 NZD for each card as NZD is lower than AUD.
