cruisincorgi Posted January 5, 2016 #1 Share Posted January 5, 2016 How does this "free drinks" deal work on the Sky? Do they still charge you service fee/gratuity for each drink? Thanks

Thanks https://www.ncl.com/terms/sky-inclusive-beverage I think we would have heard by now from the cruisers on the first weekend cruise this month if they had been charged that 18%
BeachFamily1989 Posted January 7, 2016 #3 Share Posted January 7, 2016 So if they are not charging you the 18% tipping, we should probably plan on tipping ourselves for the drinks??
firefighter15 Posted January 7, 2016 #4 Share Posted January 7, 2016 So if they are not charging you the 18% tipping, we should probably plan on tipping ourselves for the drinks?? no it is already included (tip) in the per day fee they charge for the unlimited beverage plan, there is no out of pocket. Rare LMaxwell Posted January 7, 2016 #7 Share Posted January 7, 2016 Is there a per day fee? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Not on the Sky. All cabins, all sailings 2016 get the beverage package included in the cruise fare. They don't charge 18% of UBP at booking. But that does still leave OP's question up in the air if they charge on each individual drink.

Cruiser Rich Posted January 12, 2016 #9 Share Posted January 12, 2016 Just got off the Sky this morning. There was no charge for drinks. No one asked for a tip. Anyone over 21 could just walk up to any bar on the ship, except the coffee bar, and get a drink, including beer or wine. No wristbands or room keys needed. Enjoy! SeekerOne Posted January 30, 2016 #14 Share Posted January 30, 2016 Cruiser Rich, is it true what I've been seeing that there is an upcharge for "premium" bevvies/beers/wines? Here is a picture of the sky all inclusive menu, and the now uncharged "premium" options http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2301007&highlight=sky much like the test for the a la carte menus last year went fleet wide, i wonder how long till this bar menu takes over the ubp on the other ship.
