meatloafsfan Posted January 7, 2016 #3 Share Posted January 7, 2016 We bought some of the popcorn flavour salts (butter, hickory bacon, bbq, etc.) and sprinkle them on. They work well. The only thing we found is don't "save" popcorn for later (we would sometimes have a partial bag left and bring it back to the cabin). It doesn't keep well (the popcorn - nothing to do with the flavour salts).
SadieN Posted January 7, 2016 #4 Share Posted January 7, 2016 Popcorn is served during the movies on the outdoor screen.

lilmizz Posted January 9, 2016 Author #6 Share Posted January 9, 2016 Would that count against your carry-on beverage limit? I wouldnt think so as its in small packets, I can pack them in my suitcase just as easy:D:D

poison7fl Posted January 9, 2016 #9 Share Posted January 9, 2016 Popcorn is served during the movies on the outdoor screen. Yes, but it is tasteless. i think they use plain cooking oil to pop it, no flavor at all, and even takes away from the popcorn flavor.
nwo4life Posted January 10, 2016 #10 Share Posted January 10, 2016 On Dream, they put WAY TOO MUCH popcorn in the popper at one time. Maybe 10 times what it is designed to hold. This makes the popping time way to long and the corn very tough.

sandij Posted January 10, 2016 #13 Share Posted January 10, 2016 I love the movies under the stars, I have a small bottle of kettle corn seasoning I bring with me, cause yes the popcorn is pretty tasteless.
golfb4cruzing Posted January 10, 2016 #14 Share Posted January 10, 2016 The popcorn tastes like a paper bag. HAL has a machine just like the good old days and it was great! Princess has their machine right at the movies and it's perfect. When they bring the warm cookies and thick blankets, movie time gets real. Cinders411 Posted January 10, 2016 #15 Share Posted January 10, 2016 When we sailed on the dream there was no popcorn. Perhaps the machine was broken or something.

Have to, and no butter or everyone with special dietary issues would be complaining.

CCL popcorn is rather tasteless. Wonder why they dont add anything to make it taste better.
Sue Do-Over Posted January 24, 2016 #19 Share Posted January 24, 2016 CCL uses regular vegetable oil, not popping oil, and don't salt the popcorn at all... you have to look for the shaker. The machines are designed so that the popping oil and flavored salt are dumped in with the kernels, so that they get coated as they pop. Once the kernels pop, they dry out and the salt won't stick. (We own several commercial poppers, so this is first hand experience)
