MIcruisers3 Posted October 5, 2005 #3 Share Posted October 5, 2005 Salt water - but the water slide is fresh water. No chlorine in any of the pools?
shoreguy Posted October 5, 2005 #4 Share Posted October 5, 2005 No chlorine in any of the pools? I believe the salt water is in fact filtered and has chlorine added
newmexicoNita Posted October 5, 2005 #5 Share Posted October 5, 2005 though we didn't use the pools on our transatlantic cruise, I think Shoreguy is right. Most if not all NCLs ships use salt water in the pools, but filter it and add clorine. This is not to say you will not be somewhat aware of the salt, but nothing like swimming in the ocean or in the ship pools of days past. Haze Posted October 6, 2005 #6 Share Posted October 6, 2005 I just came off the Jewel last Thursday. Definatley salt water in the pools. I reccommend using goggles if you like to swim lenghts which i like to do. i loved the pools. They werelarge compared to others I have seen on cruise ships. Enjoy
