serene56 Posted October 5, 2005 #2 Share Posted October 5, 2005 Buy your own- by the time you rent two of them plus the batteries-- you could have outfitted your whole family with one. We used the motorala talk abouts (or was it cobra??) 2 miles with 22 subchannels. battery charger (important) or your wills eat up the batteries every day) Now that being said== they are more hassle then worth it. You will pick up every ones personal conversation.. all the kids that are screaming in it for mom and dad to pick up-- (mom and dads number the hundreds..pick another name. Last two cruises we found that voice mail on the cabin telephone worked a whole lot better for us.

Tell me, please, how much the ones you bought cost, and where you purchased them? Also still want to know what the rental fees onboard are, just in case. Thanks again!
