eldrima Posted January 17, 2016 #1 Share Posted January 17, 2016 I've got about 4 weeks until I leave for my cruise on the NCL Escape. Based on the reviews I've read, I definitely want to try to get to guest services and get Vibe passes. I've read mixed posts about whether or not NCL CAS guests get to board early. Does anyone know if CAS guests get to board the Escape (or any NCL ship in Miami ) early enough to get Vibe passes? We get in the night before and staying with family...would prefer not to rush to port in the morning if we don't stand much chance of getting them. eldrima Posted January 18, 2016 Author #3 Share Posted January 18, 2016 Did not get early boarding in Miami. Best port for CAS boarding in NYC I just took care of selecting our boarding time. Earliest time available was 10:30 - 11:00 slot at terminal B. Are we able to check in earlier than that if we go to the casino guest line? First CAS cruise...thanks! riddle Posted January 20, 2016 #4 Share Posted January 20, 2016 What do you mean by "selecting boarding time". I have never heard of that. Have never had CAS boarding in Miami but out of San Pedro in Dec. they took CAS right after suites. It was sweet!

Have never had CAS boarding in Miami but out of San Pedro in Dec. they took CAS right after suites. It was sweet! Maybe I used the wrong term...on my boarding docs, it has "Time you selected to arrive at the pier" as 10 - 10:30". If we arrive at 9, will they allow me to go through all the check-in process or will they make me wait until 10?
riddle Posted January 20, 2016 #6 Share Posted January 20, 2016 I don't see anything like that on my docs. Never been on the Escape but I have cruised out of Miami many times and the earliest I think we have ever gotten on is about 11:00. That is not to say we did not try earlier, we try to get to the port by 9:30 or 10:00 and try to get a very early boarding number. Good luck! Askmelanie Posted January 28, 2016 #7 Share Posted January 28, 2016 There wasn't a special CAS line set up, but go to the Gold/Plat line, the attendant there has the CAS list and you can wait there.

loston815 Posted February 26, 2016 #9 Share Posted February 26, 2016 If I'm booking with CAS and have another party with me that is not booked on CAS (in a separate cabin) will they be able to line up with me?
Rare BirdTravels Posted March 9, 2016 #10 Share Posted March 9, 2016 I just took care of selecting our boarding time. Earliest time available was 10:30 - 11:00 slot at terminal B. Are we able to check in earlier than that if we go to the casino guest line? First CAS cruise...thanks! You are correct. Most passengers are assigned a check-in time. After checking-in, you will be given a boarding group number at the top of the escalators. Boarding by group starts around 11:30. The CAS check-in line is left-most lines in Check-in. at 10:30, there will be little or no lines, but you can still use the CAS lines. There is no preferred boarding with CAS in Miami. You need to grab a bording group number and board with your group.

If we arrive at 9, will they allow me to go through all the check-in process or will they make me wait until 10? They don't enforce the check-in times. However, security may not be open at 9:00. Different people have had different experiences. When we boarded the Escape last year, security opened a little after 10:00 am. Others have reported it opening earlier.
