emory2001 Posted January 17, 2016 #1 Share Posted January 17, 2016 I'll be visiting Labadee for the first time in a few weeks, and I've been to Coco Cay several times. Just curious which you prefer and why.
Ken at the beach Posted January 17, 2016 #2 Share Posted January 17, 2016 Much prefer CocoCay. The beaches are nicer and I enjoy walking in the water which you can't really do at Labadee. Also CocoCay has more of a deserted island feel to while Labadee seems more commercialized.
FLACRUISER99 Posted January 17, 2016 #3 Share Posted January 17, 2016 I prefer CocoCay as the staff is much nicer (they don't try to extort tips). However it's nice to dock at Labadee.
14Terry Posted January 17, 2016 #4 Share Posted January 17, 2016 Labadee (Barefoot Beach) for me [emoji1]! And I've had cabanas at both places. Parasailed at Labadee. Like being able to dock on Labadee too! Truthfully both are nice. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
sjb317 Posted January 17, 2016 #5 Share Posted January 17, 2016 We tend to prefer Coco Cay, I think the beaches are much prettier and I just like the set up. Labadee seems way too commercial and I think the water & beachs seem dirty. It is nice at Labadee not to have to tender!:D Sherri:)
billsgal Posted January 17, 2016 #6 Share Posted January 17, 2016 (edited) Love Barefootbeach at Labadee, much nicer than the suite area at Cococay. No beach at suite area at CC, you need to walk outside the area to the adjoining beach, which was full of seaweed last time we visited. Not a far walk, just not as convenient as Barefootbeach. Summerknight Posted January 18, 2016 #8 Share Posted January 18, 2016 Labadee...no tendering. It was a beautiful day this past December. Wish I was there right now....
UCF_Knight Posted January 18, 2016 #9 Share Posted January 18, 2016 I greatly prefer Coco Cay, but I voted Labadee because you can actually get there. Coco Cay has been cancelled 3 of our past 4 cruises.
Rare Lionesss Posted January 18, 2016 #10 Share Posted January 18, 2016 Only been to Labadee. Barefoot beach is so nice and love it there. Love the dock. Hate tendering, probably will never go to Coco Cay. Safe travels.
TADCruise Posted January 20, 2016 #11 Share Posted January 20, 2016 I greatly prefer Coco Cay, but I voted Labadee because you can actually get there. Coco Cay has been cancelled 3 of our past 4 cruises. I have heard that it is not uncommon for Coco Cay to get cancelled due high winds or rough seas. We have been to Labadee several times but we will going to Coco Cay for the first time in May. Are cancellations more frequent during certain months of the year?
