jinja0707 Posted January 27, 2016 #3 Share Posted January 27, 2016 Thanks very much for this link Kiwi Kruzer. Albatrosses have always fascinated me, seen many of them on my cruises back and forwards to NZ, great to see them live and read more about them in detail. katie11 Posted January 31, 2016 #13 Share Posted January 31, 2016 Thank you so much for that link to the web cam, David. We could see the birds on their nests as we left the Dunedin Harbour in Dec. Then, there were one or more of the birds which followed the Golden Princess all the way back to Bass Strait, flying and swooping right around the ship, for most of the day, even when we lost power for 3 and a half hours out in the middle of the Tasman. I took many photo's of them. Fantastic.

Hawka Posted January 31, 2016 #15 Share Posted January 31, 2016 (edited) my bad didn't find it unless on my phone or at a different spot but did see one or two from my balcony while we were broken down Edited January 31, 2016 by Hawka
Kiwi Kruzer Posted January 31, 2016 Author #16 Share Posted January 31, 2016 (edited) What does he weigh today? They seem quite relaxed with people. With the ranger being there , it gives an idea of the size of these birds. Edited January 31, 2016 by Kiwi Kruzer

Kiwi Kruzer Posted June 21, 2016 Author #21 Share Posted June 21, 2016 The children in the classroom that won the draw to name the bird will all get a trip to the Albatross Colony as well.:) They also said on TV last night the chick is expected to be there until Sept and will then fly off .
