clm1982 Posted February 2, 2016 #28 Share Posted February 2, 2016 Hi there, great to see you had a good time, pity about the kids but yes school holiday cruises are usually the worst for that. We are going in 5 weeks, what was the weather like? Should I be packing both sorts of clothes winter and summer? thanks :)

We are going in 5 weeks, what was the weather like? Should I be packing both sorts of clothes winter and summer? thanks :) The weather was between 27 and 29 degrees in all ports. Definitely not windy Wellington. Beautiful weather!! My advice is to pack layers, a rain jacket, a warm hat and gloves, just in case. To have 27-29 degrees across all ports in NZ is the exception, not the rule. Some years ago I was touring in the South Island in March. On one day the temperature never got above 9 degrees with rain and a howling gale, but we did have great snow on the Southern Alps after that. Rare MicCanberra Posted February 2, 2016 #32 Share Posted February 2, 2016 Yes, the weather can turn very quickly in NZ and with large differences in temperature from one day to the next.
