pete_coach Posted January 28, 2016 #5 Share Posted January 28, 2016 (edited) sanitize those hands more often then less you come out healthy, not wealthy, but maybe wiser Clean hands do not prevent mosquitoes from biting you and transmitting the virus :) I also agree with djkretired, how many threads about this virus are needed. They should all be merged. Edited January 28, 2016 by pete_coach spelling errors

Bo1953 Posted January 28, 2016 #9 Share Posted January 28, 2016 Like beverage packages, pre-paid gratuities, amenities in stateroom class of travel etc.. should all be in one thread in each category, since there are other threads, this can be posted in one of those and still be seen and responded to. Rare Hlitner Posted January 28, 2016 #13 Share Posted January 28, 2016 Just wondering what folks want cruise lines (and land resorts) to do. These viruses exist in a major part of the sub-tropical and tropical world where they have mosquitoes. One can certainly take personal precautions to prevent mosquito bites such as using a decent repellent. The only other option is to stay home (assuming you live in an area that does not have these viruses). Hank

SPacificbound Posted January 29, 2016 #19 Share Posted January 29, 2016 Any pregnant women, or women intending to get pregnant would be best not putting themselves in the danger or getting the virus. For the rest of us it can be fever, headache, rash, aching joints for a few days.
Holly2 Posted January 29, 2016 #20 Share Posted January 29, 2016 What cruise lines can do is post a notice in tbe dailies when calling at a port which has a high level of the diseases so passengers can take precautions. In the early days of chikungyunga I was concerned about the elderly passengers on Eclipse and had to argue with guest relations to get a notice in daily....
