kayhold Posted February 4, 2016 #1 Share Posted February 4, 2016 Are the little tubs still allowed? I know the POOLs are restricted, because they're large. I am being told that just last month, the little duck tubs were still being allowed on board. Has anyone seen these recently? Just trying to figure out how my baby is going to be able to bathe, otherwise.
Cruzin' Daddy Posted February 4, 2016 #2 Share Posted February 4, 2016 Not sure about that, but some of the cabins on the newer ships come with a junior bathtub. Next cruise: Carnival Breeze (June 25,2017)
kayhold Posted February 4, 2016 Author #3 Share Posted February 4, 2016 We're in a Lido Balcony on the Triumph, so no tub :(
Cruzin' Daddy Posted February 4, 2016 #4 Share Posted February 4, 2016 We're in a Lido Balcony on the Triumph, so no tub :( Aww! Trust me, I understand what you're going through. We cruise with small kids and it can be quite the challenge trying to shower them in those small showers. This is the first time that we will have the junior tubs. I'm looking forward to it! Athankfulheart Posted February 4, 2016 #5 Share Posted February 4, 2016 I would bring the tub in your suitcase. It's not even going to be noticed unless its set up on the lido deck :)
cb at sea Posted February 4, 2016 #6 Share Posted February 4, 2016 Of course they're allowed! Put it in your suitcase....(no air!)...and blow it up when you unpack. You can take it to the pool deck for "splashing"..just don't empty it into a pool...there are floor or shower drains for emptying.

It was very handy.
Mary Ellen1 Posted February 4, 2016 #8 Share Posted February 4, 2016 Sadly, "inflatable kiddie pool" is on the list of Prohibited Items. But if you used it in the privacy of your cabin, to bathe your little cutie, I don't think anyone would give you a problem. https://help.carnival.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/2261/~/restricted-items-list
cruisinqt Posted February 4, 2016 #9 Share Posted February 4, 2016 We used to use one when our girls were little. I got a very small one that was maybe 2 or 3 feet in diameter. It folded up pretty small into my suitcase and was an inexpensive tiny blow up pool. We put it into the shower to bathe them, they loved playing in it. We also brought it out by the pool to let them splash around in. We always set it up in some way off corner far away from foot traffic with plenty of shade so they wouldn't get burned. It was a lifesaver when they were little. :)
kayhold Posted February 4, 2016 Author #10 Share Posted February 4, 2016 They USED to be allowed, but are now on the prohibited list - for the pool, anyway. I don't know if they care it's a tub and not a pool, though.
sarahlfiles Posted February 4, 2016 #11 Share Posted February 4, 2016 A friend of mine used a small one in her stateroom shower last week with no problem. She tried to take it to the pool and they told her not allowed on decks. Hope this helps!
cruisinqt Posted February 5, 2016 #12 Share Posted February 5, 2016 Yeah if you take it on deck it has to be some out of the way corner far away from foot traffic and people where you won't be noticed. We never used the main deck where it was packed either.
