Mjasp Posted October 9, 2005 #1 Share Posted October 9, 2005 OK This is making me crazy. The Costa website still states that Passports may be required by 12/31/05. The government has changed that requirement. I called Costa numerous times and all the reps are afraid to admit that it has since changed. I even e mailed Costa and received NO reply. Only one rep stated that a birth certificate is sufficient. Is Costa going to require passports even though the government isn't? TIA

Mjasp Posted October 10, 2005 Author #3 Share Posted October 10, 2005 Oh Ozzie...I didn't state that I was talking about the Caribbean cruises. Sorry. Were you in the Caribbean??
Chrisobrn Posted October 11, 2005 #4 Share Posted October 11, 2005 I have had the same situation with Costa. They have answered several emails from me and said that they are "looking into it" for Caribbean travelers. The State Dept says that ALL cruise lines must adhere to their requlations so I'm not sure either why their site isn't updated. For those of you who say "Just get one", I invite you to pay for all the 20 people going in my group! Then I'm happy to march to the post office!!!! I'm going in April 2006..I'll wait until Jan to decide..after the Caribbean route has been going for awhile.
