Do you check the weather report before you sail? NOT an Anthem related question

I'm driving myself crazy checking the weather reports all day long. It seems like the Caribbean and Lauderdale have been a bit rainy and cooler then usual this year. I keep checking next weekend forecasts and of course it is ever changing. I live in Michigan I need sun!

 

First of all, I love the caveat in your title. :D Most of my cruises have been well outside the generally classified hurricane season in the Caribbean. I'll watch the departure port weather with the thought of flight delays, but I always fly in the day before. I'm always an active part in my roll calls so I'll watch the weather for my new soon to be friends and their travel ordeals. Since I cruise in early spring and live not far from you, I am doing so to anticipate the warmer weather and what I am leaving behind. So far, i've never had more than 2 hours of rain on any given day in my 60+ days of cruising.

Yes, I tell myself I'm not going to do it, but I do. We're leaving on a cruise in less than two weeks, and because we drive to the port and leave from the Northeast, I'm always worried about snow and ice. As a result, I'm checking the long range outlook for what the weather could be on the day we leave; not for weather while on the cruise, but getting to and from the port. I'm not even the driver, I leave that to DH, who is quite capable of driving in nasty weather, I'm the annoying, nervous passenger. So, here I go again, fingers crossed for decent weather for our upcoming vacation. (-:

Not if I'm going to the Caribbean, but I do if I'm traveling to Alaska, Europe, anywhere the weather might be cool/damp.

I'm guessing your from Ohio? We are close to the state line. We are spending three nights in Ft Lauderdale and I'm going nuts with the ever changing forecast. Your 2 hours of rain experience will help me[emoji5]️
