ARI421 Posted February 24, 2016 #1 Share Posted February 24, 2016 Thinking of upgrading to a spa balcony for my cruise leaving new York.. Is the room any different than a regular balcony? How crowded is the spa? Is it worth it?
cookmg40 Posted February 24, 2016 #2 Share Posted February 24, 2016 Hi Ari421, the cabin is the same as a regular cabin. The difference is the spa pass. My DH and I love the spa on the BA. It does get crowded at times, but you can always find a time in the day where it is quiet there. It is a nice break from the crowds at the pool deck. There are no other saunas/steam rooms on the ship available for all. The heated loungers are heavenly and a great place for a nap. The spa is useful in bad weather and is a great escape! Although it looks like good weather ahead for our sailing! My DH and I bought the spa pass. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
mjkacmom Posted February 24, 2016 #3 Share Posted February 24, 2016 We used it daily. It was the only pool and hot tub we used all week!

cookmg40 Posted February 25, 2016 #5 Share Posted February 25, 2016 How did you buy the pass? Online or onboard? TIA There was a slight discount ($20?) by purchasing online, so I bought them online. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

How crowded is the spa? Is it worth it? The room is the same as a regular balcony. Just [maybe] closer to the spa. Consider the cost of the Spa Balcony vs. a Balcony+Spa Pass. We book a spa pass on every cruise and usually make it every day. Nice way to relax before dinner and evening activities.
spiritualtraveller Posted February 25, 2016 #7 Share Posted February 25, 2016 the spa is one of the best things about the breakaway. we always get a pass and use it about 4 or 5 times a cruise. yes it gets a little crowded at times, but once you lay on the lounge chairs, you can fall asleep for hours!! total relaxation. just the best and worth every penny!!
