LittleYiaYia Posted March 6, 2016 #26 Share Posted March 6, 2016 Thanks so much. So, there is a separate line outside for FTTF? I just did not want to stand in long line only to find out we could have walked right in. I have read all your reviews and gained much useful information from them. I hope we enjoy the Glory as much as you seem to. This is a change for us, we have only sailed Celebrity and Princess. Thanks again for your input. firemanbobswife Posted March 6, 2016 Author #27 Share Posted March 6, 2016 (edited) Thanks so much. There wasn't a separate line when you get to the outside of the terminal, as there wasn't ever a line. Once you got to the door, they pointed you to go in a certain direction. I take that back. This last time we were in the far left terminal and they had us enter the door that was facing the parking lot/roadway instead of the one on the side. But that was the first time it was like that for me. It wasn't clearly marked so I went to the other one first just to have them tell me to go back to where I just walked by. With this new program, I'm not sure how it's going to work. You could always try just going to the front and asking the person in charge. Be sure to have your Boarding Pass out. I think that if you run into people lined up outside, it's probably going to be due to them arriving early and not following directions. So in that case I would still go to the front and ask. I'm glad you have found my information helpful! I have been on Celebrity and the Reflection is my favorite ship. I can't wait to go back some day. LittleYiaYia Posted March 6, 2016 #28 Share Posted March 6, 2016 OK, I understand now. I will go to the doors before getting in line to find out what is going on. I know from your posts to have my boarding pass in hand and to make sure the porter puts an orange sticker on the bags. See, I have been paying attention! richmke Posted March 6, 2016 #30 Share Posted March 6, 2016 (edited) When we checked in for the Glory last week (before staggered boarding), there was a line on the West side of the building (by the van/bus drop off are) for all "regular" people to line up for Security. The door on the South Side of the Building (the faces the roadway) was for priority people to enter. They had an expedited security line. Once you get past security, you go up stairs, and there are greeters that direct you to the correct line (short priority line, or long regular line) for check-in. That's the way it was the week before. But it hasn't always been like that. It will also depend on which terminal your ship is birthed at. It just so happened that the Glory left out of and came into the same one. It doesn't have a designated birth. I have been on cruises that we have left out of one and came back to another. Felt bad for those parked in the garages that were close when they got on, and then had to hike it with all their bags. But what are ya gonna do? richmke Posted March 7, 2016 #35 Share Posted March 7, 2016 The book is $25, and it is available from the "Personal Shopper" on the cruise. I forgot what the book was called, but they had coupons for some of the stores in most of the ports. Basically, the Personal Shopper is employed by an advertising agency. The shops pay to advertise through the agency, and the Personal Shopper promotes those stores. the main stores are: Diamonds International, Tanzanite, Del Sol (color changing clothing), place that sells sheets made of bamboo, and some of the gift shops. For the most part, the shops in the ports were the same. The gift shops were a little different.
firemanbobswife Posted March 7, 2016 Author #36 Share Posted March 7, 2016 Thank and yes u was just checking the Fun Times that you posted to see if it was on there and I think it's the day we leave miami port The show is the Fun Ashore & Fun Aboard Show at 10:30 AM first sea day. I think you may be able to buy the book for $25 beforehand at the Fun Finds desk though. It is located right outside the Casino back in the corner immediately before the shops - Starboard side. firemanbobswife Posted March 15, 2016 Author #47 Share Posted March 15, 2016 Monday night. The first sea day. In this case, yes. The first sea day is Monday which is also the first elegant evening. On the Western itinerary, it is Sunday which is the first sea day. Hence I said the first elegant evening. Just in case someone is inquiring about which night the lobster is served (for free) and they happen to be going on the alternate itinerary.
