SolihullCruiser Posted April 5, 2016 #1 Share Posted April 5, 2016 Just received my ETickets and noticed that names only contain Title,First Initial and Surname e.g. Mr J Smith. I presume boarding cards will be in the same format. Could you more experienced cruisers confirm that this is normal with Thomson Airways. TIA. okavango Posted April 6, 2016 #3 Share Posted April 6, 2016 Completely normal, when making an online booking only the first name is required, you will only enter the full names as shown in your passport when doing the online API/check in process and even then i dont think the full names are shown on the resulting boarding passes. corolla48 Posted April 14, 2016 #4 Share Posted April 14, 2016 We have had boarding passes for our flight, do we need one for the ship? Thanks Jackie
Rare dronnygirl Posted April 15, 2016 #5 Share Posted April 15, 2016 No boarding pass for the ship. When you arrive at the port you will be met by the ships staff who will process your booking and take your credit card details. They will also take your photo and issue you with a ships card which incorporates your photo. You will use the card every time you go onboard and every time you go ashore - this is how they keep tabs on who is on board. You will also use this card for any purchases including drinks.
