Best Vancouver Airport?

Can anyone advise us as to the best (closest to port?) Vancouver airport? Do you know the airport code? Thanks for your help.

There really is only one major airport in vancouver, and it is MAJOR. YVR is your three digit code. A quick google search under "Vancouver airport code" popped it up on the 4th link.

Yep only one. The other option would be to fly into Seattle. Allow at least 3 hours for a transfer.

There is a third option, one favored by many on both sides of the border... and that's Bellingham, WA (BLI) which is just 20 miles south of the Canadian border. No hassle, no mega-Seattle traffic, and no Canadian taxes on airline tickets.

But demand is heavy, so you have to book early for the best rates.

((in case you're wondering, Mt. Shuksan- the most photographed mountain in the world, is near Bellingham, my home town!!))
