hlb76 Posted April 10, 2016 #1 Share Posted April 10, 2016 I know there are cheaper shuttles from Port Canaveral to MCO but sometimes it's just easier to book through the ship. We are a group of 7 with 2 young kids ages 18 months and 4 (at the time of sailing). I did a mock booking and it looks like the youngest is free? Which we are OK with. I'm assuming with him free he will be a lap child?? Are carseats not required for kids on buses? Also is there any perk when booking through Carnival? Like when you book a tour you meet and are escorted off the ship and makes this process so easy peasy. I think easy peasy is what we want with the too littles. I'm excited for this cruise with them but things like this stress me out thinking about it. I know how impatiently I wait during disembarkation/customs I can't imagine with 2 active boys. Thanks in advance for any help/tips
vwrestler171 Posted April 10, 2016 #2 Share Posted April 10, 2016 Usually there are no perks with paying for Carnivals shuttles. There are many available and they are there after you clear customs. Just walk to one and show your tickets and they will show you which bus is yours.
mistycruiser Posted April 10, 2016 #3 Share Posted April 10, 2016 Normally large buses don't have car seat requirements and since the 18 month old is free I would assume they expect them to be a lap sitter but if the bus isn't full they could use a seat. No perks that I can think of but at other ports people mention using a porter with the luggage to speed up the process thru customs. We did that at Galveston and it was an advantage. Don't know if it's the same at Port Canaveral or not but it's worth a try.
hlb76 Posted April 10, 2016 Author #4 Share Posted April 10, 2016 Yes.. I think we will use a porter this time. I've read that tip. I'm excited to be able to take my son and his family with us. I think the grandkids will love this!!
Micahs Grandad Posted April 10, 2016 #5 Share Posted April 10, 2016 Typically though the bus will not leave until it is full.
hlb76 Posted April 11, 2016 Author #6 Share Posted April 11, 2016 I'm not too worried about that. A little worried about missing a scheduled pick up time from a chartered shuttle
