Carribean Princess - Who hasn't gone yet and who wants to go again!!!

I am booked on the Golden in July and can't wait to cruise for the first time as an adult. I was fortunate enough to be on the 2nd cruise that the Celebrity Zenith ever took when I was 13.

My question to you veterans is this: Should I keep booking on the bigger ships or should I try different classes to see which size I like better? My wife and I can only afford a cruise every 18-24 months.

Thanks,

JON

meyerhaus - My opinion is there are so many different sizes and brands of cruise ships out there, I like trying different ones - that way I feel I have a good basis for comparison. We have been on all sizes, brand new, slightly new, older, big and small and many different lines. Some better than others but none terrible. Any one of them sure beats a day at work! As much as we enjoy a particular line, we continue to try different ones. I think to stick with one line or ship and only going on a certain size ship really limits your experience on seeing what else is out there. Who knows, you may surprise yourself and find one you like even better!

Whatever you decide - enjoy!

I was on the 4/17 sailing, and had a blast...I'm ready to go again.

I doubt it will be the next cruise tho, thinking about going w/ a group of friends on the Diamond out of Long Beach to the Mexican Riviera (no airfare needed for this one). Not the exact same ship, similar tho!

Well, maybe I'm crazy, but due to heavy case of cabin fever during another snowy weekend last Feb., booked a mini-suite on the Carribean for the 6/26 sailing. Then, after following the Boards closely, decided to surprise DH and booked a Vista Suite for the 9/4 sailing that will celebrate our 15/25 (15th wedding anniversay/25 years together). All this, and I've never even seen the ship!(Except for pix on this Board) This will be our 6th and 7th cruise with Princess, so I really have no concerns about booking the Carribean, and can't wait to sail her!! Especially that aft Vista suite!.....call me crazy

CP on June 5th. We have a board and web page with people who will be on that week. Everyone is excited and I think we will have a blast especially since we have all met on here before we get on the ship. The teenagers are already IMing each other and we are all planning to meet after the muster drill to actually meet face-to-face.

Will post after we return...31 days to go!!!!

OK you've convinced me not to cancel. If I was to cancel (was just joking) I'd be a dead man.

You know, we go on the 3rd of July, which of course is followed by the 4th of July and then the 5th of July. You know what's next? The 5th of July is empty and you have to go buy another fifth of July.
