t60 Posted April 23, 2016 #1 Share Posted April 23, 2016 We are considering this cruise for next April. Can anyone tell me if there are any dancing venues on board, if so, is there live music or just pre-recorded? This is listed as a comedy themed cruise with themed workshops etc, but if anyone has been on a themed cruise before, will there be lectures etc on other topics as well for those of us who don't want to learn how to perform, write a script and so on? Do Thomson have port lectures/talks as opposed to shopping talks? What sort of things are offered on sea days or is it all Bingo? Thanks Sandy in Spain
Huddersfieldtourist Posted April 23, 2016 #2 Share Posted April 23, 2016 (edited) We are considering this cruise for next April. Can anyone tell me if there are any dancing venues on board, if so, is there live music or just pre-recorded?NO dancing venues and if you mean ballroom or Latin dancing then there ma be some basic step beginners dance lessons which will be using pre recorded music This is listed as a comedy themed cruise with themed workshops etc, but if anyone has been on a themed cruise before, will there be lectures etc on other topics as well for those of us who don't want to learn how to perform, write a script and so on ? The lectures will be more about the history of comedy and will not be a lecture as such but rather a presentation - on the first of these themed comedy cruises there was no lessons in learning how to perform etc Do Thomson have port lectures/talks as opposed to shopping talks? There us a port showcase which details the organised tours and excursions plus also gives a small amount of details on the local port area What sort of things are offered on sea days or is it all Bingo? There is cocktail, ice carving and cookery demonstrations plus games on deck such as Connect Four and the game I am entertainer get out of here which is a passenger vote elimination game etc Thanks Sandy in Spain Please see answers above !! t60 Posted April 23, 2016 Author #3 Share Posted April 23, 2016 Thanks for the info. I'm disappointed there doesn't appear to be a ballroom dancing bar/lounge area, that may well deter us from this cruise
Sheila49 Posted April 23, 2016 #4 Share Posted April 23, 2016 There are dance floors in the Medusa, Tides and the Waters Edge all of which have live music. Sent from my iPad using Forums mobile app
