pejay Posted May 6, 2004 #1 Share Posted May 6, 2004 What do you think of Global Ins? How does the coverage compare with Princess? There is quite a difference in price, but I'd like to know what coverage I'm trading.

Toto2Kansas Posted May 6, 2004 #3 Share Posted May 6, 2004 Also, you might take a look at www.insuremytrip.com It has most of the leading travel insurance companies listed and it is very easy to do a comparison in price and coverage there. Sorry, have never used or even heard of Global ins. Tahitian Princess 10/14/04 RCI-Legend of the Seas 3/27/05 Panama Canal. One Phantom Booking still open with Princess. There is quite a difference in price, but I'd like to know what coverage I'm trading.

Hi Pejay, I know of several people that have used Global Ins. and they had no problem. It is a similar product to other travel insurances. The difference with Princess insurance is that you are not covered for any pre existing condition or for the default of the cruiseline. However Princess does give you 75% towards another cruise if you cancel for any reason other than sickness or death in the family (you have total reimbursement coverage for sickness or death). You have to compare the two products and see what works best for you. Hope this helps. heyjude west palm beach, fl
pejay Posted May 6, 2004 Author #6 Share Posted May 6, 2004 I'm not finding where I can compare Princess Insurance with others at the site given.
FredS Posted May 6, 2004 #7 Share Posted May 6, 2004 You would have to read Princess care coverage and then read the coverage for any other insurance and compare them. Princess is not on InSureMyTrip, just 3rd party insurance. I have been told do not buy insurance through the tour provider. If they had problems their insurance would probably be worthless. Probably would not happen with Princess, but...
Toto2Kansas Posted May 6, 2004 #8 Share Posted May 6, 2004 FredS is correct, the insuremytrip site only compares other third party insurance. But we have always used either Traval Guard or Access America. Their coverage is as good if not better than Princess insurance and covers default as mentioned above.
