JohnSpo Posted August 28, 2016 #76 Share Posted August 28, 2016 From Carnival's website and this website, there is a lot of information on each ship. I rely on both before booking a cruise. Hopefully you give cruising another try. Carnival has some new ships coming on board in the next few years. Between these new ships and the other cruise lines hopefully you find one that you like better. Happy vacations.
SororitySue Posted September 18, 2016 #77 Share Posted September 18, 2016 Lastly I love your knock on the people. Wow do we think highly of ourselves. Yes the ship is based in charleston, and it attracts some country people, but I've sailed out of charleston twice now, and have met some really nice folks. Thank you! I couldn't have said it better myself.
drafterdw Posted September 18, 2016 #78 Share Posted September 18, 2016 Yes, I think you may be right (about "not our cup of tea") but I really wanted us to love it because it's so easy out of the MidAtlantic. I would consider trying a different ship/ports (might not convince DH to join me;) I see you have been on Ecstasy and several others --have you found other cruises to be significantly more elegant/classier than Ecstasy? you might want to try a different line....they cost more but are more elegant.
