joanc88 Posted May 7, 2016 Author #76 Share Posted May 7, 2016 After that I went to the kid’s club. After I went to the kids club we ate an early dinner at the main dining room, it’s formal night. We wanted to be there early because we wanted to go to the 70’s party. For my appetizer, you probably know I got shrimp cocktail. For my main dish I had the roast beef, it was good, wish they had more gravy, I don't like horseradish(why would they call a yucky sauce that name?). For the dessert I had a chocolate ice cream. Surprised? By the way, the waiters bring over warm bread to choose. The cheese bread is the best, especially with butter. My mom liked the ones with pumpkin seeds on it-too healthy for my taste. My parents had the lobster, but they said it was just ok, because we live in New England and are used to getting it fresh out of the lobster boats. Make sure you stay for dessert to watch the waiters dance, Olano could hold a ketchup bottle on his head with no hands! He tried it on me but it didn’t work. We couldn’t stay up too late because tomorrow we were going somewhere special in Cozumel to swim with dolphins at 8:30 and ship docks at 8:15. joanc88 Posted May 7, 2016 Author #77 Share Posted May 7, 2016 (edited) At the 70’s party make sure to go in front of the Sorrentos or that English beer place because they throw out free glow in the dark rings and T-shirts from the big round globe that opens into a walkway where the dancers stand way up high. I was in front of the stage, there was this one mean lady when I caught a ring and it landed on the floor, she took out of my hand and smiled at me. How mean of her to do that! The cruise director saw that and personally handed me one out of his pocket. It made me feel special that he noticed. We wound up staying up until 10:00. See you tomorrow in Cozumel Mexico. Cozumel was very specials so stay tuned! Sorry, didn't get a lot of pictures this day. Kids-sea days are dangerous for moms like mine. Keep an eye on them because the cruise line will try to get you to buy things and my mom keeps going in the makeup store. She saw the same sales guy that had helped her pick her makeup on the Allure so they started talking. We're in trouble because I heard him say he's going to be on the Harmony and the makeup place is going to be twice as big! I think the adults have too much time to wonder off on sea days, they donated money to the casino too. You have to watch them carefully! Edited May 7, 2016 by joanc88 add

I have been on Oasis once as a solo and now will be back on Oasis in November with the rest of the family. I have to keep track of my Mom for reasons as she is directionaly challenged. I have to make sure she does not get lost on the Oasis.

pharaoh Posted May 7, 2016 #82 Share Posted May 7, 2016 Kids-when you’re in the shopping area, you need to keep an eye on your parents so they don’t shop too much. Give them a cute face and say you’re hungry, you’re hot, you’re tired and you want to go back on the ship. Lol!! Good advice. When I was a kid, all of our time on St Thomas and St Maarten was spent shopping. My mom likes her jewelry. I was always making "cute" faces and asking to go back to the ship. But then they would take me to the toy shop and I was in better spirits. Still kinda works that way sometimes haha
joanc88 Posted May 7, 2016 Author #83 Share Posted May 7, 2016 Jack, If you had to pick the 1 thing that you liked best of all, what might that be? Your very favorite!!!!! This is a hard question to answer because I might offend my mom or my dad who are who are looking over my shoulder. I like the Aquathetre, the jet skis in Labadee(dad) and Cozumel(mom). I would have to say...Jetskis in Labadee because we went FAST!! :)

cruisingn09 Posted May 7, 2016 #85 Share Posted May 7, 2016 Great review, Jack! I keeps coming back hoping you have posted more on your review. I have a grandson...Chase who is 7 years old. It is great to read a review from a child's point of view. Do you think Chase would be old enough to ride the flow rider?

It is great to read a review from a child's point of view. Do you think Chase would be old enough to ride the flow rider? It depends on how tall he is, they put you next to measuring pole like they have on the Disney Autocar ride to see if you're tall enough, I guess you'll have to check. I forgot how many inches. joanc88 Posted May 7, 2016 Author #87 Share Posted May 7, 2016 Good news! Thanks to Gambee and my mom, we were able to save some of the pictures she took from skating. Try to get to the skating rink early-the ice is better. You can go for more than one session-just have your mom run up to get another sticker on the back of your Seapass card. The bad part is you have to wear a helmet which made it harder to do my jumps because it weighed my head down. http://i1228.photobucket.com/albums/ee445/rjliu/IMG_0485_zpsp46swkeb.png http://i1228.photobucket.com/albums/ee445/rjliu/P1020369_zpsf5hwtbjx.jpg

Surfguyxxx Posted May 7, 2016 #90 Share Posted May 7, 2016 Jack; you're a natural skater. Impressive. I wouldn't be surprised if you not int the 2022 Olympics. Mom, you and dad have raised a very level headed son; in saying that, sorry but you'll need to learn how to take better and longer videos. Can't wait to see more like everybody else. joanc88 Posted May 8, 2016 Author #91 Share Posted May 8, 2016 Day6 – Cozumel Mexico Hi it’s Jack again with day6. Today we are in Cozumel Mexico. Our shore excursion which is swimming with dolphins in Chankanaab was at 8:30am and the boat docks at 8:15 so we had to eat an early breakfast at the windjammer. If you have another family member who is not doing the same shore excursion as you are. Make sure to check the tickets in your cabin because my brother and my dad were doing a cooking class and we were swimming with dolphins. When we got off the boat my mom checked only the first ticket but not the bottom. When we reached the stand for Chankanaab he says this is no cooking class. So my dad and my brother were still on board and we had to use the internet package and texted them to get in the gangway to swap tickets.
joanc88 Posted May 8, 2016 Author #92 Share Posted May 8, 2016 Then we finally got on our way to Chankanaab. I totally recommend the tour to Chankanaab because #1 The tour guide pays for your taxi to Chankanaab. #2 He tells you when the taxi goes back to the cruise ship. #3 He tells you all about the park and what you should do in the park. When we go to Chankanaab. I thought I would take a couple of pictures of the park.http://i1228.photobucket.com/albums/ee445/rjliu/P1020234_zps6bwuptzx.jpg
joanc88 Posted May 8, 2016 Author #93 Share Posted May 8, 2016 We first got to swim with the dolphins it was a once in a lifetime experience. I go to kiss the dolphins which was great. After we swam with dolphins we went to encounter with matinee. He was covered with algae and fish were swimming all around him. I didn’t like it as much as swimming with dolphins. After swimming with a manatee we decided to swim in the swimming pool. Notice in the pictures there is a swim up bar. That is so cool!
joanc88 Posted May 8, 2016 Author #94 Share Posted May 8, 2016 After I swam I went to the sea lion show they didn't allow cameras in there because they wanted to buy it from you. But, I took pictures anyway. After that we wanted to to head back to the ship. When we got back on board we all took a nap. We ate at the windjammer for dinner. I went to Adventure Ocean for the sport day. After that I headed back to the cabin and went to sleep. Good Night!

joanc88 Posted May 8, 2016 Author #96 Share Posted May 8, 2016 Almost forgot...my parents didn't eat very much at the buffet so they went to Vintages for a late night snack, we decided to tag along, whether they liked it or not. http://i1228.photobucket.com/albums/ee445/rjliu/P1020321_zpsuywmb9s2.jpg http://i1228.photobucket.com/albums/ee445/rjliu/P1020322_zpsrjkes4go.jpg http://i1228.photobucket.com/albums/ee445/rjliu/P1020323_zps8betcpo4.jpg

joanc88 Posted May 8, 2016 Author #98 Share Posted May 8, 2016 I just remembered something from Chankanaab, at the dolphin encounter they let you use the lockers, but be careful, I wouldn't recommend bringing food. After we decided to buy the cd of the dolphin swim, my mom told me to take our bag out of the locker, it was gross because there were ants crawling all over our things in the locker

joanc88 Posted May 8, 2016 Author #100 Share Posted May 8, 2016 Our dolphin was named Noelle. I told my friend I had my first kiss with a girl-he didn't believe me, Noelle was a female mammal, haha.
