Hi there, we are going on our 1st Cruise with Royal Caribbean and leaving from Barcelona. As we are staying for a few days before the cruise, what do we do on the morning to the cruise port ? We will get a taxi and then what do we do regards luggage and dropping it off ? Thanks Stuart

Welcome to Cruise Critic.

There are porters that will take your bags at the cruise terminal.

We take a taxi, but we are not far away, maybe a couple of miles away. Your situation may be different.

The taxi drivers will drop you within a few feet of the porters, let the taxi driver know your ships name, just keep your carry on and then walk directly into the terminal to check in. If your taking 2 bottles of wine keep them in your carry on and not in checked luggage. happy cruising

Take a taxi to arrive at your boarding time. When you arrive at the Pier, give your large luggage to the porter and tip him 1 Euro per bag. Enter cruise terminal, go through security (there is X-ray and metal detector) with your hand luggage. Check in like you do for any other cruise and board your ship when you are told you can. Barcelona's port is GREAT! very easy to navigate and once you get there, you will see it is just like boarding a ship anywhere else.
