Disembarking from the Solstice in Vancouver.

Hi, we will be arriving in Vancouver, on the Solstice, in May 2017. (from Hawaii). So, I am assuming that we will have to clear customs. (we are Canadians). We will not have any kind of disembarking priority or a flight to catch. Just planning to drive and catçh a ferry to Vancouver Island. I am just curious, at what time approximately, without rushing, can we expect to be on the road? I would welcome any feedback from people who have lived this experience in Vancouver.

We did this cruise this year, you'll love it. We were baggage claim 5, left at 8 am & collected our luggage & rental car & we're on the road at 8:22am ( I slowed everything down cause I was in a walking boot & couldn't move at my normal pace.

We walked off the Millennium last month and we were on the train going home at 8AM. Where are you picking up the rental car? I would advise you to make a reservation on the ferry also. It costs a little more but at least you are assured of getting on the sailing you plan on.

We also did this cruise this year and loved every minute of it. We walked off early in Vancouver and we were in a cab to the airport by 8:00am. I have heard that it gets very busy the later you get off if you have to get a cab. We had 2 other ships in port with us but we were first to debark.
